At the Woodinville Dance Academy we desire to provide a positive,
happy, productive environment for students to learn strong technical
dance skills, artistic expression, build self-confidence and have fun!
Woodinville Dance Academy opened in October of 2001 with only one studio. By 2002, after only one year, we already grew out of the original space and moved to a larger space with 2 larger studios. Then by 2005 moved yet again to a larger building where we are now with 3 studios!
"My goal for starting Woodinville Dance Academy was to create a studio that did not focus on competition teams, but where the focus was on the artistic expression of dance. I also wanted a unification within the studio where teachers had the same primary focus in their teaching priorities: mainly two issues 1) body alignment/new progressive techniques of teaching vs old school training techniques and 2) positive reinforcement and joy vs hardcore strict and potentially negative based technical training." ~Julie McMurray, Studio Director |
